Aug 4, 2007 -- Three Finger Jack via the South Ridge Route
Steve Dougherty ~ Aug 21, 2007
It was a cool overcast day. The group got an early 5:30 a.m. start hoping to beat any large groups to "The Crawl". Assistant Scott Kelley and climb team members Jay Howe and Matt Tryon took the ropes and set a fast pace. They had the fixed line set across "The Crawl" by the time the second group arrived. Scott set all of the fixed lines demonstating exceptional skill. Half of the group summitted together and then rappeled off the summitt before the second group repeated the same. The group quickly made their way back to the PCT. Scott Kelley and marathoner Jay Howe ran the entire way back to the cars coverying the 6 miles in one hour carrying gear and a rope! Leader Steve Dougherty, Assistant Scott Kelley, Joanna Picchi, Matt Tryon, Rebecca Tryon, Jay Howe, Ronda Barrow, Matt Betts, and guest Beth Dougherty.
